Listen to your child read at home and ask them questions about what they have read. Help them to comprehend what they are reading.
Science and Social Studies
The Starlab Digitarium recently visited our 2nd grade students. Students had the opportunity to view the day sky in real time and follow its progression into the night sky. It was a wonderful experience for our students!
Mathematics
In math, students will be focusing on adding and subtracting by composing and decomposing numbers (regrouping). Students will continue to explore different strategies to use when solving math problems. Helping your child memorize their basic facts would assist them in being successful in math.
